The Rubik’s Cube

I just spilled soup all over my keyboard!  I’m sick today and I’m out of it and I was typing and all of a sudden WHAP! soup everywhere.  The keys seem to be sticking a bit, but I figured the whole keyboard would light up in an electric blue flame of light and then short-circuit, which it didn’t.  Anybody know a good way to get soup out of a keyboard?  Without having to dismantle the whole thing?

The Burrito Song

Got questions for Flip, Bryan, Wayne, or any other characters in these cartoons?  Go ahead and ask and they’ll dispense their wisdom in the form of a cartoon once every few days.  Be sure to include your name and where you’re writing from and I’ll give you credit for your question.  Get in on the toon-writing process.  Interactive toons!  We’ll give it a try, anyway…

Moonshinin’

Is it really necessary that all of my crap be askew when I come into work every day?  Really.  I don’t know if the housekeepers were fighting pit bulls in my cubicle, but that’s what it looks like.  Papers fanned out in all which ways.  Thumbtacked phone lists twisted around on my wall.  The trash can pushed back way too far.  What the?  I should set up a little video camera near my phone to capture what happens when I’m not here.  I’d like to think my detritus is all out of whack because they were dusting, but alas, there’s still a sheen of dust over everything.  Somehow they managed not to disturb the dust.  And there’s no disinfectant smell.  And there’s dog hair everywhere.  Interesting.

A Guy Can Change His Mind

Can it please stop raining here in Washington, DC?  After the longest winter in U.S. history (ok, maybe it wasn’t the longest, but didn’t it seem that way?), I’m ready for sun.  No humidity sun like we had here on Saturday.  Went to see Chris Rock on Saturday.  I don’t know.  He was really good for about an hour and a half, then I started getting bored.  It wasn’t the Chris Rock I was used to.  He made some cutting, insightful comments about society like he used to do so well on his show, but a lot of it devolved into getting vajay-jay and stuff which, I mean, come on, the dude’s got to be in his forties by now.  I get that he’s trying to relate to a younger audience, and he traded on gross-out stuff a while back, but I just think he’s smarter than that.

He had some gems though, like talking about how he keeps a duffel bag by his front door in case the real owner of his mansion shows up some day, and how, if racism doesn’t still exist, how is it that the only other black people in his New Jersey neighborhood are some of the greatest entertainers of all time (Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, and Denzel Washington) but his white next door neighbor is a dentist.  I wish he’d cut his act short by about an hour.  Never thought I’d say that.

Anyway, my brother’s running in the Boston Marathon today, so send him psychic good wishes!!
